Tuesday Teaching

Tuesday Teaching!

Keeping perspective is the name of the game this week!

Life has definitely handed me a couple of lemons in the last couple of weeks but I am doing what I can to make the best of it.

My car was due for inspection when we returned from vacation, so within a few days after we returned my guy took care of getting it in and having all the needed work done for inspection to include new tires and brakes. I can’t stand car repair stuff so I was very happy he took care of it.

Within a few days my car started making a terrible sound and shaking violently. So we took it back in, turns out I need a new drive shaft…..GREAT!! Again, I didn’t really do anything other than drive it to the shop.

I have been without a vehicle for 2 weeks though…..

Because of my guy’s line of work, I am not really able to drop him off at work and take his vehicle. So I have been stuck home for the last couple of weeks.

Making the best of my first world problems!!

I’ve been working on stuff around the house, mainly going through the many storage totes in the basement. Getting rid of stuff and consolidating.

I have been out walking or running with our pup every day

My make up brushes are super clean……yes I have a lot and no I don’t need that many….but I like them! šŸ™‚

I rearranged our spare room, to make more room for working out. Space is at a premium with the recumbent bike and a bed. We are making it work though…..another first world problem ;).

The big thing I have been doing with my time is lesson planning, setting up my Teachers Pay Teachers store, and learning how to create products. I had been thinking about doing this for a while but never got around to it. TPT is a huge resource for teachers, I am excited to be a part of the TPT community and to share my lessons and activities! Batteacher’s Cave is up and running!

Hopefully my car will be fixed in the next couple of days and I can get in some fun in the sun time over the next few weeks. I can’t complain much, we are able to financially take care of the hefty car repairs and upkeep. We have air conditioning, so I am not melting, We live in a relaxing and peaceful place that I love! I have the ability to work on my creative outlets at my leisure. There have been plenty of naps. I have had for the most part no urgency to do anything for anyone else.

Keeping perspective helps when things don’t go your way. Try to think about how you can make the best of the situation. Doing what you can to make it work for you, will hopefully make that crappy situation a little or a lot less crappy! šŸ™‚
