Tuesday Teaching!
I am BACK!!! We made the long journey home at the end of last week, and I have to say I needed a few days to get some rest from our vacation!
I will be blogging about some of our adventures later this week and in the coming weeks. I want to keep with the theme of my typical Tuesday Teaching posts today.
Today’s Tuesday Teaching is all about being open to change and doing what is best for you!
Sugar….is not the devil…but
I will be the first to admit I have some vices and one of those is SUGAR! I love anything sweet and have maintained that I can’t live without it.
To preface…..I have zero intention of giving up sugar. This blog is not about giving up sugar…read no further if you are reading this for a guide on doing so. Having said that, I do think there is room for trying to maintain a healthier lifestyle. Part of that for me is decreasing my “need” for sugar.
I have a friend who has done intermittent fasting for a few months, my best friend just started doing it as well.
We were talking about it the other day and I started doing some research about the benefits of intermittent fasting. I quickly found that a big issue for me would be my morning coffee! Here’s the issue, I like my coffee with a whole lot of sugar. Whether it be in the form of heaping tablespoons of sugar or with flavored syrups.
I am not big on diets that cannot be maintained long term, knowing as soon as I go off a diet I would not have the ability to sustain the benefits of the diet. I am all about making small changes I can maintain life long. Like when I made the decision to give up drinking soda daily. Intermittent fasting is something I can see myself doing long term.
Back to my morning coffee, my best friend suggested I try Bulletproof coffee to help with intermittent fasting. If you don’t know what that is, check out it out The Cult of the Bulletproof Coffee Diet……fair warning, it seems odd at first!
Today is the first day I tried BP coffee instead of my regular coffee, I have to say I like it! I added some cinnamon and a little stevia syrup and it was actually pretty good!!
So….the moral of this ramble is, I guess I don’t need a bucket of sugar in my morning coffee!
What small changes have you made to live a healthier life?

How is your fasting going? We’ve had so much else to talk about lately!

Really well!! The BP coffee really does help. I didn’t really watch too much what I was eating during the window the first week. This week I am limiting carbs and incorporating the meal plan we decided to follow.
